Surprise surprise, the next target was yet another road great for motorcycling. You guessed it, lots of twisties, sweeping bends, etc. Putty road heads south between Wollemi and Yengo national parkes to the west of Newcastle.
… and who’d have thought we have deer here in Australia – this one was waiting on the side of the road for me when I stopped for a break:
Dodging the big smoke, I headed west to Bathurst around Windsor – still 60km away from Sydney. I checked into the Bathurst showgrounds to pitch the tent. It still smelled like cows, if you know what I mean – but it was OK.
